im wondering about the white psp and what firmware it has in it because i know somebody who wants to buy a white psp
and i also want to know if he gets one where is going to be imported from
ACiD
I think they come as 2.00 and above.
Crack head
I think they are imported from Japan. Please correct me if im wrong
Bezerker
Japan is the only country that had the white psp standard/value pack. I believe the White Giga Pack however was distributed accross Europe as well.
djp
from what i hear usa may be getting a blue psp
Energize
Japan is the only place, I live in the uk and have not seen any here.
00steve2
myy friend got the giga pack and it came with 2.00
Thornex
Ya there imported from Japan, the seem to get all hte games and stuff first biggrin.gif
usaswimmer36
cause sony's a japanese company
ViolenceMan
the white psp's are sony's second generation versions. they have better bottom row buttons, and are preloaded with firmware 2.0

i know this because I imported one for my sister.
choji
i'd like to have a white psp. bought the black gigapack one with firmware 2.0
ViolenceMan
yeah see, the new gigapack psp's count as second gen versions. woot
Nestor
Yea, the START button on my black one sucks.
Why would they come out with blue ones? It's not a Gameboy, they should leave it at Black or White. =/
Or can't you just buy a white faceplate or something?

Offtopic :; Do they make the regular shiny/black faceplates?
Because mines is getting kinda scratched.
jpimp
they should make skins like the ds has.
that would be sweet!
chimpcomix

razil_zul
Is there a place where u can trade ur black psp for a white psp?
Forge
lol @ razil_zul, naa man unfortunately i dont think there is
btw there are some ceramic white psp's that come loaded with v1.50 fw - u can find on ebay
R.A.G.S
As far as I know there wasn't many psp's with origional 1.50 but what does it matter coz lots came with 2.00 and i bet ppl have just downgraded them and are selling them as orgional 1.50. I still think the black one looks better
johny 5
yea i really like the black one but its just my friend wants a white one because they are so rare (the people and gamestop and gamecrazy haven't even heard of a white psp lol)
justin.mah

can't really understand what your trying to say
assasin244
If your in the US you better know which region the umds play in, because i think most or all of the white psps have region 2, which don't suppport american umds. And also, i saw a white psp online and it said that some of them come with ver. 2.5, so if your going to get one you better watch out carefully.

um what if you upgrade the firmware on the region 2 psp's and you upgrade them as region 1 would that make them officially region 1 and you can play all the region 1 games?
assasin244
I dont know, but people who buy the white psps, live in the uk usually so its okay for them. A lot of people on this forum live in the uk or somehwere in europe.
johny 5
would it be risky to get a firmware 2.00 2.01 or 2.50 and using a us (region 1) update on it so that it will be us not region 2

"future shop"
isn't canada region 1
does canada still have some
will they send one into the U.S
how much do they cost
justin.mah
unfortunately, unless you are VERY lucky, the Gigapack isn't being stocked anymore in Canada, at least from what I can see. It was a good deal that only lasted for about a month or two before I started noticing how much harder it was to find it.
johny 5
what about the value pack would canada still have the value pack
Crack head
I got the black PSP and the white PSP. I like the white one alot better....

well do u think that there will be a risk if i get the region 2 one and use a US region 1 update on it
zededd2
yea it waz really funny!
dude404
I like the white one better because of personal taste preference. Its all about what color you like guys and I believe theres nothing different about the two PSPs besides the color.
momento
yea the white ones are imports from japan.
johny 5

yea i know that i just wanted to know if i could import one from canada so that it can be region 1 since someone said that canada's "futureshop" had the white giga pack psp's
Dopitos
i thought psps were region free thats what sony said when they were just about to release em also the white psp is the 2nd generation of psp's they have and upgraded home/vol./start button row. Something changed down their not sure though
Dopitos
and if u really want a white psp u can get a custom face plate and white replacement button for ur black psp the back will be black but u dont stare at that when u use it so who cares heres the link

http://damodfather.com/catalog.php?category=8
personly i like the chrome or platnium one better my fav is the red i want that with the red buttons
chris_pilot
i think the white ones are imported from Japan; however, i still prefer the black one. Original and cool looking smile.gif
tylerf123
i would stick with the black one anyway
Fl1pnotic
ok just to clear everyones q's the white ones practically have no differences besides firmware and the buttons feel smoother while u press them. Thats about it. If you want one so bad then just get a face plate thats white then get a back plate if that ever comes out cool.gif

O yea nd the region 2 but all europe has a region 2 only us has region 1
allsorts111

simael
