I was just transferring files on my PSP, then I started playing Intelligence Quotient [JAP] on UMD Emulator 0.8c, I saved, then restarted my PSP. Suddenly, my PSP couldn't scan my UMD!!! I don't know what to do, my UMD is working fine 5 minutes before... Need your opinions. right now, I let my PSP rest...

Turn it on again if it doesn't work go to system and restore default settings. I think this was solved on my forum. Can't be bothered looking for the thread though tongue.gif

did restore default settings but still couldn't scan, now I'm trying to let it be for 24 hrs. taking off the battery..
Ceptic Tank
Have you tried it with other UMDs?

I only have 1 UMD... Right now I am still using that thing, removing the battery from the PSP for 24 hrs.

Is the UMD the Demo your using? if not try that one and see if it works. That would really suck if your UMD Drive went already.

That would be impossible if my UMD Drive went already. I just got my brand new PSP last month... And no, I am not using the UMD Demo, and I haven't received any UMD Demo. It's weird.

Well, as far as I know, every PSP that you buy that hasn't been opened before comes with Demo containing Music Videos, and an assortment of Game Video Demos that are not playable. I use that demo disc to load my personal ISOs that i rip.

Yes your PSP may be new, but sometimes although its rare, hardware can go at a early age. The best thing for you to do would be trial and error. Try more than one UMD. Try putting the UMD in before PSP boots up. Try resetting your settings on the PSP and playing again. Try upgrading firmware to 2.00 and see if it should work then. and if all fails and you know the drive is shot, try returning the psp to the store you purchased from and get a replacement.
