HOMEBREW: CTorrentPSP - PSP Torrent Client


The contest entries for the Neo Spring Coding Contest are still coming in. This time, PlayStation Portable homebrew developer danzel has released CTorrentPSP - a torrent client for Sony's handheld console.

Coder danzel developed CTorrentPSP under custom firmware 3.90 M33-2 using PSPLINK and it's being run under 3.xx kernel. Take note, however, that firmware 1.5 isn't supported. But the developer says that if you want to, you can make it work on 1.5 if you use the code.

According to danzel, this is how to use the application:

* Put .torrent file in torrents/ folder.
* Run CTorrentPSP.
* Choose the torrent to download.
* Choose the Access point to connect to.
* Wait for file to download.
* Delete the resources/splash.png to get rid of the splash screen.
* Quit.

The coder recommends that you read the README.PSP file that comes with the package for more details, including a list of controls and a list of bugs.

it's nice but we need big ms if we download big files

If youre on the go or out I dont think you would be downloading big files anyway... Its for smaller files and things that wont take that long, like music.

someone have to take a code and fix all bugs.

a source code. because danzel won't fix all these minor bugs.

sounds to good to be true , is there slow download times ? or does it just matter where you connect for internet ?
