Ok so me and a friend play NHL 07 at work. To win a face off you basically tap X rapidly till someone wins. I always won even though he's tapping X just as much as I am. So we trade PSPs (I own a phat, he owns a slim) and he started winning every faceoff with my phat.

So is there a way to compensate for the slims slower button refresh rate? Or is the problem simpler and can be fixed with new buttons or modding the old ones somehow?

Well question is is your or his modded (i mean CFW or OFW)? I think the phat one is running CFW? Check the recovery menu (if it is CFW psp). I think your clock speed is faster than his. Hope that helps some.

Nevermind I just saw your psp firmware. Yes it's your clock speed it's running to fast. Like mine I'm running at 333mHz maybe run it at default? Go to your recovery menu and change the (not the XMB) but the other one to default.
