GDC08: Wi-Fi PSP Store promised


Chris Eden from Sony Computer Entertainment made mention of PLAYSTATION Store on PSP in his Game Developers Conference session. Currently, players must use a PC in order to download content and transfer it to the PSP. Going forward, PSP fans will be able to download games directly to their systems from within the PSP itself. "Access native PLAYSTATION Store on PSP via wireless hotspot," the slide notes. "Purchase and download content direct to PSP (no USB cable)." Launch is currently "TBA." More details are promised for the future. Let's hope we don't have to wait too long.

I will say this only once: This is THE greatest news I have ever heard...EVER. Thank heavens, somebody up there is FINALLY doing something right about this. I have been waiting forever for a psp PSN store. Let's hope it comes out soon. YES!!

I second that and, i wonder what everything in there is going to be. Its a great idea, but they probably got the idea from the wii or some other resource. Lol

Or the playstation store for the ps3....

xDD wow or we could assume it's because the PS3 as Nyght said has the PlayStation Store, and thus they wanted to cut out the middle man (PC), how the hell would the Wii inspire a PSP PSN? Seriously? Does the Wii even have a store or is it even on the DS I think not, so wow, just wow on your behalf.

ds has no store but in his defense the wii does and its pretty nice think i bought more games from there than i did wii games at all lol

Who else wants to bet that they'll realese the store during summer?

I have hope for this store, but I would like to see some improvements on the PS3 store first.

I can't friggin wait for this. Hopefully they'll spend as much attention to uploading new stuff as they do the ps3 store.
