k heres the problem.
When I click on the iso/cso game, it loads up to black screen and freezes. I can't do anything else other than press HOME and go back to xmb menu. These isos/csos that keep freezing include: Final Fantasy 7: Crisis Core (CSO - Around 920 MB), Bleach: Heat the Soul 4 (ISO - Around 760 MB), and some other games I deleted out of my pc. The ONLY game I've seen working perfectly is NBA Live 08 (CSO+Ripped - Around 110 MB). Im using a 1 GB Memory Stick. My PSP is running on cfw 3.71 M33-4.
I think thats it...
if anyone of you guys know how to fix this problem, please tell me! Ill greatly appreciate it
thanks lol

It shouldn't make a difference.
To me it sounds like you might have a dodgy/faulty/fake memory stick.
What brand is it and where did you get it from?
Also, have you tried using another one?

i think theres something wrong with the iso/cso. maybe the file is corrupt or something. try to dl it again or maybe theres something wrong with your firmware..

I have the same problem as well. right when i moded my psp with version 3.71 m33-2 the iso can't read on my memory card. It would freeze into the black screen when i try to load it and not read at all. So i tried to upgrade it to 3.90 m33 and i still have to same problem. So im kind of frustrated with this PSP and just want to switch it with another one.

I found out why your memory stick must be a fake. Fake one the front text is written in white and real on written in grey

yeah, sounds like it s messed up stick, but then again it might just be that you need to switch to UMD mode.

It's a malfunctioning stick alright.
When you bought the psp, IT should have a original 1GB with bronze linings on it.
Also, look for the "alpha" sign (looks like an "a") on the left side of your memory card's original case.

Do other files work correctly? MP3s, movies, etc?? If so, it may not be the memory stick. Just an idea...
