I need one that's spyware free and doesn't alter the quality or anything. Also, I would prefer one that's just a program that I don't have to install or anything. The reason I need one is to download Myspace videos because they're usually better quality than YouTube (or at least from what I've seen). Any help would be appreciated wink.gif

well the best flv to mp4 converter i've found was media-convert.com
it converts several different file types. and its only online so no need to install anything
but you need to find the link to the flv directly for it to work. for that i use
Firefox and the Unplug Add-on
just copy and paste the flv video link that Unplug gives you.

i've had better luck converting with youtube videos though because youtube has faster servers
but you can always try myspace videos. if they don't work using the link i advise
download the flv file (don't worry no virus) then on media-convert.com
browse and upload the flv.

I've found it easy to use and it might take a little getting used to but its the best converter i've found
it shows you the progress of the conversion. and takes a few minutes. it also has the feature to only convert
a certain part of the video.

Thanks, but I need one that works with Myspace videos.

Ok, download Firefox.

Once you open Firefox and use it as your browser, get the embedded video downloader plugin (Google it)

The site will have instructions how to use it, once you have the .flv, use Riva Video Encoder.

Tehn use Xilisoft or something to convert to Mp4

This whole topic was to find out what file to download for conversion. I already know how to download a flv file, lol.
Bomb
Well it still tells you how to convert:

User Riva Video Encoder wink.gif

And then Xilisoft which you can find somewhere here.

Both?
Bomb
Yes both, I think Riva changes to mpeg or avi then you change to Mp4 using Xilisoft wink.gif

Make sure you get the Riva FLV Converter, not one of the other Riva progs that cost money, Riva is free.
