Poor lady, the music industry can go screw themselves, what happend to the days where records were 60 cents, and it was about the music, and not the insatiable greed of the stupid artist, they really need to get over themselves, if you want your artists CDs to sell, friggin lower the price from $20 and album to $5, you'd make more in the end anyways.

Yeh, I saw this on the news this morning, that is bull crap really. But then again, she could have paid the few thousands but she refused....
And, what about the other thousands of people that don't have a single CD but have thousands of song downloads....these guys should really lower the prices of CDs, I buy them occasionally if it real good (like Shock Value by Timbaland) but not one that I like one song off...

I heard she had 1,700 songs, but either way, they should have charged her only what it would have cost to download those on iTunes.

the good news is though, this was a civil case, not a criminal charge, so she can file bankruptcy and they dont get a cent, yet they still have lawyer fees and lost time.
im surprised this made the news, do u live in the US? one thing iv noticed here in the usa, the media does not cover any of the real evil shit the AAs do, only when they CRUSH somebodys life, so the rest of the sheep know not to do such a bad thing?
did any mainstrea news outlests cover the mediadefender emails? or the fact the riaa files 300 lawsuits a WEEK costing taxpayer money, 90% of wich are settled?? or the fact that most of those lawsuits are targeting the least likley to be able to defend themselves? HELL no!
.... ok i wont rant anymore
