I have had a headace for the past week. I have finally decided to get a "Next Gen" console, and don't know which one to get. I have finally decided to leave my Ps2 behind me.(But never my Mega Drive )

You would think i would obviously want the ps3 and stick by sony as i use ps2, but i don't like the price of a ps3, its a bit too much. I would probs be willing to pay if its all cracked up to be, and if it wasbetter
that an xbox360.

I have been doing alot of research lately on the two consoles, and it seems the Xbox just edges it for me, mainly because of the price, plus the spiderman ps3 font is really annoying.

I have also heard alot of bad crap about the Xbox though, i know alot of peoples whos xboxs have just randomly stopped working, this scares me a bit.

So from your experiences, which console do you think is the best and why? i really don't know which one to get and its annoying me! which console do you think has more potential to be best?

Well imo xbox is the console to buy now. I would have brought one if there hadnt been any reliability issues. Ps3 is deffinately a future investment, although im enjoying it very much i know it will only get better. If u want an unreliable console with great exclusives buy a 360. If you want a great, reliable system then ps3 is for you. If u buy a 360 and it breaks down, then u have to wait around 3 weeks for it to be fixed, thats just tooo long for me.

I would rather have an Xbox 360 Elite than a PS3.

get a ps3 when the price drops. Right now is a great time to buy a xbox 360 because the new 65 nanometer 360 has been released. this means it runs cooler and more quietly, thus reducing the red lights of death .

I absolutely agree. Plus, tekken 6 is coming out for ps3! You will like the ps3, its worth the money.

I don't think my heart could handle the Red rings of death! Like ps3 games more. I truely beleve the ps3 will be the better console in the end, thanks for helping me make up my mind!

im waiting myself, i like the idea of the blueray reader in the ps3, but i need something tinkerable, and sony little ditty about going after ps3 hackers was a BIG TURNoff.

i was seconds from buying the 360 halo edition the other day, but i came to my senses just in time, its still way to early to buy a next gen system IMO..

though its all about the games, just like halo3 had me seconds from buying a 360, im sure the new GT or the new ninja gaiden, or whatever may tip the scales...

i would advised playing whatever games you would like for both systems and base your decision on that, dont let a buncha options you wont use sway uu one direction or the other-

remember though, developers havent even come close to tapping the potnetial of either system yet.. and as i understand it, they may both look pretty dead even right now, the cell proc in the ps3 will blow away the 360 once devs finally get some good dev tools and learn to utilize the system to its full potential
