I just used this tutorial and file: http://tricebit.com/blog/download-and-inst...irmware-by-m33/ to upgrade my 2.71 SE-B PSP to 3.52 M33 but now when I go to the system info it still says i have 2.71 SE-B. I did everything the tutorial says. Am I supposed to have a newer firmware before doing this update or something? I know 2.71 is really old, I've been away from the PSP scene for a while and don't really know whats going on anymore.

You could try downgrading to 1.50 via Recovery Mode, then installing 3.52 M33.

Past experience tells me that that is more reliable than upgrading custom firmware directly.
