Only a couple of days after 3.70, Sony has released version 3.71 of the official PSP firmware.
The changes from 3.70 are:

Network
* [Assign Buttons] has been added to the (Remote Play) menu.
Video
* Sequential playback of videos saved on Memory Stick Duo™ media is now supported.

3.71 Firmware Update [PSP-Hacks]

Needless to say, it is not recommended that you update to this firmware if you want to maintain homebrew capabilities.

In related news, M33 has released a new version of the PSAR Dumper program to decrypt PSP firmware, with support for up to 3.71!

From the official readme file:
QUOTE
This is a recode of psardumper for 2.XX & 3.XX kernels.

If you are ina cfw of the fat psp, be sure to put it in GAME3XX or in GAME if you have it configured for 3.XX kernel.

Support for 3.7X decryption has also been added.

The instructions are same as for original psardumper, except that you don't need the DATA.PSAR in the root of memory stick, but instead the EBOOT.PBP; this is to make it more noobs-friendly and lazy-friendly.

- Team M33

The app (NEWPSARDUMPER) is attached, and the password is "PSARDUMPER_FOR_NEW_AGE" (without the quotes).

Another great job by Team M33, and the first step towards a 3.71 M33 custom firmware for all PSPs. smile.gif

I don't know... I haven't heard that it doesn't work but I haven't seen any confirmation that it does.
I would guess that it does work. But you'll still need a homebrew-enabled PSP to set it up.

It should work, only new hardware could block it, not software. So yes itll work, but like adw said, youll need a homebrew psp to set it up.

wht is the pandora battery

It's a software-modified battery that puts the PSP into service mode.
From there you can unbrick or downgrade any (original) PSP.
