Apple announce the iPod Touch - an iPhone without the phoneApple has lifted the lid on the iPod touch, which essentially is an iPhone but without the phone capabilities. Prices start at $299 and the touch is available in both 8GB and 16GB variants. A very interesting move indeed from Apple, but is it a stupid one or a smart one? Let us know. More information on the newly announced product is available to view at
apple.com.

Once again Apple slaps a high selling price on a slightly improved model. I'm still looking to buy an ipod, when the prices goes to a reasonable price.

It's not that much different to the iPhone? Why did Apple make two separate products? Seriously, I'd rather buy a iPhone for a $100 more!

I hadn't realised that.

You can't buy the 4gb from the Apple Store. I wonder if any shops still have it. Still, I'll buy an 8gb iPhone.

the reason apple came out with it is because people without at&t cant get a iPhone. and it is actually alot cheaper because the plans for the iPhone are outrageous.
