An Israeli technology company called Mempile is said to be developing a disc that can pack one whole terrabyte (1TB) of data onto one single disc. Each disc has around 200 virtual layers which can each store 5GB worth of data. Current prototypes can reach a maximum capacity of 800GB per disc but the company expects that 1TB development to be complete in 1.5 years followed by public release a year later. It is said that if these hit retail, a 600GB disc will be available to purchase for anywhere between $30-60.
And Yes, theres no pic yet..

Yeah 30-60 lol. Thats expensive for a disc. It would be a good few more years for that to be reasonable.

Cool! Bit pricey though!
Just think of the size a game like MGS, GTA or GT could be! LOL
No good for movies I think!
Unless it's Starwars Ep I,II,III,TCW,IV.V,VI on the one disc in high def! LOL

hhhhm, let's see... 600 gigabytes of storage for $60.00. that's 60 cents a gig... cheaper than a hard drive with the same capacity... non rewritable... but still one hell of a lot of storage for not too much money!! i LIKE it!
multiple muvees on one disc sounds interesting but a 600 gig game would be insanely expensive,(TOO MUCH CODE)
