The following video clip is of a supposed v3.50 downgrade in action at a game shop in Shenzen and China who claim they can even softmod PSPs with a firmware version of over v3.10. People are suspecting that this downgrade process is conducted with the Official unbricking battery from Sony. Read more about it here.

Whoopie! I need to find a SPECIAL battery to DG other PSPs. No thanks. I'll just as soon spend my money on some records instead. Besides, they prolly modified the info or pieced the hex together to make it look like that.

My PSP had me go through settings info when I first turned it on. Things like timezone, and my PSPs name. I don't see any of those settings coming up initially. They must have set those up prior to making the video. Besides, even if you downgrade a PSP it will bring up those prompts like it did at the end of the video. Granted, it may be one of the "SPECIAL" batteries with the files on the MS. That would imply that a sony rep took one of the units out of where it should be, or somebody has figured out how to hack the the flash on the board on the battery. In either case, plans may come out in the future.

My opinion, somebody was messing around with one of their friends in a retail store. I bet it's a hoax.

There is also this http://www.psp-spot.com/forums/index.php?s...mp;#entry437434 about the visual aspect of the battery itself. Based on the pictures there and the video here, I would assume that there are different types of batteries, or this is all a hoax. I can understand that SONY would have something that could do this, but this info isn't adding up.

Well I like to be led on like a child, and I want to believe this is real lol. But if they could actually mass produce something like this, it would bring Sony and their firmware to it's knees.
