Full Version: Need help in converting from psx to psp format

Hmm.. i got this problem when i tried to convert my ff9 to psp format.. they give me a 'run-time error '70': Permission Denied' is my psx cd faulty?

Which program are you using?

Generally you will need to rip/dump your PSX CD to an ISO file first.
Then convert the ISO to an EBOOT (PSP format).

ya u could use popstation GUI to rip and convert the game

well.. im already using popstation GUI2.. so i select my ff9.img from the top box and i click convert. but then they give me the error. how do i change it to iso 1st?

IMG should be an acceptable ISO format, what program did you use to make the IMG file from the PSX CD?

hmm.. i dunno.. its already in the PSX CD. i didnt do anything. i place the PSX CD in my com and there is a list of files in it. so i just chose the ff9.img

That sounds like where your problem is; that's just a file on the CD.
You need to create an image (ISO) of the entire CD, using something like Alcohol 120%.
Then you can convert it to PSP EBOOT format.
