With the constant Emails being sent out from Sony Computer Entertainment America, alot of Rumours have been started. To add to my previous News Thread, which is one of few true stories, the following is another Email sent out by Sony.
'As the New PSPs shipping date comes closer, we are pleased to announce a strong line up to back up our product once again. With great titles being created for our Playstation3 series, we have to re-create the Playstation Portable Market. By doing so, we hope to increase sales for both Systems, and ensure Sony's future in the Gaming Industry.
Before long, HOME will be hitting Playstation3 Consoles everywhere. By promoting the PSP in HOME, we hope the spark the interest of new consumers. Thinking about this indepth, to really get sales soaring again for the Playstation Portable, we need to come out with a new Summer line up that wont disappoint.
We are hoping to incorporate more Online Content for the Playstation Portable, by utilizing such Playstation3 ideas as HOME and WarHawk, both are Infrastructure based.
HOME for the Playstation Portable will take some time to set up, in the meantime, it will be limited to Playstation3 users.
We are still in talking stages for a WarHawk simulation game on the Playstation Portable, as that will take even more work than HOME. We plan on releasing a large amount of Gaming Content over the Summer, and introducing more Greatest Hits.
We will continue to send out more Emails about our New Playstation Portable Content, and feel free to reply with any Questions or Concerns.'
To summarize all that above;
- SCEA wants to incorporate content similiar to the new PS3 games like HOME and WarHawk
- Playstation3 users might not want to expect anything big for a little while
- The new PSP's to hit market this upcoming Friday, date taken from a previous email, should include new FW
- PS3 Beta Testing on the HOME probably has sparked the creators to work on the 'PSP Home'
A few things to remember;
- The email does say they are still in talking stages for several of the ideas
- These projects will defiantly take time to create, so dont expect them soon
And dont forget, we can not assure that the new PSP Content spoken of here will be released. Once we see the new shipment of PSPs coming in this Friday, we can see what the FWs hold. If they do happen to be a 4.xx, then more emails about PSP HOME will probably come out.
