my copy of FF8 always freezes at the dollet tower. anybody else having this problem? how can i fix it?

If you wanna send me the files I can tinker with it. My friend got his to work, lemmie just have a look see at yours and I might be able to fix it. If not it may be a compatibility problem or a rotten EBOOT.
