3.30 Not Supported by PATCHED TA-082 mobos due to corrupt ID storage

This is quite the milestone for Sony. Everytime you try to run it, you get this message:

The system configuration of this PSP system does not appear to be correct.
The update cannot be completed.
Contact Techincal Support for assistance.
(DRNffffffcd)

TA-082 users might be in trouble for a little bit, until someone makes a program that takes off the patch...

UPDATE: Someone went from 1.50>3.00 then 3.30 and was successful, trying to short it out right now

Apparently the problem is a corrupt IDstorage. Thats what causes it. It appears the problem is only with PSPs that have downgraded with the 3.03 Downgrader

We now have a fix. If you ever want to go back to Sony firmware just run this little app. It should fix ID storage and hopefully let you get back on teh Sony boat. MUST BE ON 1.50 TO RUN

thats funny because my friend loves these sony fw for some reason. he likes having the latest fw out. but unfortunitly i downgraded his psp hoping to get him interested in homebrew. i did the 3.03 downgrader.
he didnt like homebrew said it was too confusing and upgraded to 3.11. now i bet he will try to upgrade to 3.30. i gotta see his face when he sees that message.

Thats sounds like me, I used to like to have the latest firmware but that was because I was to scared to write to flash. But now I love custom firmwares as do all my friends and family.

Really I dont know why a lot of people were up in arms about this. I mean why would you want to go to sony fw after having a custom fw psp. Just doesnt make sense to me....

How would you Fix ID on a 3.11?

I agree with you NyghtcrawleR. Maybe there's just something I'm missing.

I dont think so, I think people are just ignorant and complain about everything. Someone even said this is sonys way of sticking it to the hombrew community. I'm like this guys an idiot, the hombrew community doesnt run official fw, so why they hell would we care if we couldnt upgrade?

yeah I agree with NyghtcrawleR it doesn't make sense with me

It's kind of ironic don't you think that Sony is preventing certain people from doing the one thing they want the most UPDATING THEIR FW! Sony is is a bit of a blunder if I were them I would fix this less they have more folks run off to CFW. I am the only person who has a good enough reason to update you see my PSP can no longer run CFW so I have no choice but to be on OFW so I might as well have the latest thing. And well now thanks to one of my jackass friends whom said he had a way to upgrade to 3.40 by going through 3.11 now has me stuck on FW 3.11 I sure hope games continue requiring lower FWs. (Oh btw Nyght just in case you ask why I haven't gotten my new PSP I am using the hand me down one, Sony still has my other one which makes sense they did say it would take a bit before I got it back). Does anyone know the highest rquired FW of games out now or to soon be released?
