At the moment you can't; you need to have an real, unpatched, GTA:LCS UMD.

I have 3.03 oe-c and want to upgrade to 3.30 oe-a. It says to copy the files to folder PSP/GAME150. I don't have a folder called game150 only PSP/GAME. Can I be safe in copying the files to the PSP/GAME folder.

Create a folder called "GAME150" in "ms:\PSP\". Then copy the files into "ms:\PSP\GAME150\".

Hi all, I'm new here. I've had my psp since it came out but now I finally got a 4gb stick and I'm ready to start fooling around, the thing is that so much stuff has been released since I use keep up with this stuff.

I have 2.0 fw on my psp and for now I'm only really looking to play psp games off of my memory card. What apps do I need and if I need to downgrade what's the newest way to do that now? I do have gta if I need it.

hey I got FW 3.30 and I want 3.30-oe-a I never got a custom download and my cpu broke so I use my psp network I know the file is .rar and my psp dont have unrar so is theirs away someone can tell me what to do plz (as u can c im a noob)

u cant dowgrade 3.30 yet but dont upgrade anymore and wait for a downgrader but right now u cant do any homebrew or isos

Firstly we need to know what version firmware you have on your PSP.
That should be under Settings - System Settings - System Information (or similar).

so how do i not let it auto associate itself?

You don't need to, just don't extract any file that has a file extension of ".iso".
If you want to make it more obvious, you can open WinRAR, then go to Options - Settings - Integration, and un-tick the ISO box under "Associate WinRAR with". Then ISOs won't show up as WinRAR files.

tdn'swell i think the easiest way to get to 3.03 OE-c for tdn's problem is to downgrade to 1.5 and then upgrade to 3.03 OE-C

Because u can customize about every thing there is in PSP....u can customize the USB slider, u can play .iso and . cso!!!!! U can pla PSX and any emulator without using the Devhook!!!!!!! and u ca play anything around 1.5 and 3.03oe-c. .cso is a compressed .iso (its smaller)....and with 3.03oe-c u can customise the volume color and design, the gameboot of the opening game and the top menu plugin.

Hi all, Thanks for your help I got 3.40 up and running with no problems. The only thing I'm confused about right now is the Recovery Menu. I have an iso of Burnout Dominator and when first put on the memory stick it worked fine and now it goes black. After searching I found that I need to enable no umd or something from the recovery menu.

Is the recovery menu already installed with 3.40 and if so do I just have to boot up while holding the right button to get to the menu?

ya u turn it all the way off or remove battery, hold R and then turn it on while holding R and ull go to the recovery menu

Ok so I have a few game iso's, Vallhala nights works fine with the default settings in the recovery menu. Burnout dominator worked the first time I played it with a umd in the drive but has never worked since. metal gear and monster hunter both do not work as well. And when I say don't work I mean when I load them from the memory stick it's just a black screen.

I've tried various setting in the recovery menu but the closest I got was with metal gear, instead of the black screen it just said "can't play game error xxxxxxx" Don't remember the number.

try leaving a game umd in the psp and go to recovery setting and disable no umd mode, that should do it

putting the psx in the GAME150 folder is for the 3.03 too right? what changes do i need in the recovery menu dude........ i never wanted to play psx but im giving it a try!!!!!!!

well all u got to do is put the folder with the eboot.pbp and keys.bin in the game folder and i dont think u do anything withh the recovery mode just plain and simple

Okay. So I've got firmware 3.03 oe-c and whenever i drag an ISO/CSO file into my psp iso folder, the game/transfer works. but other times, the transfer won't finish and an error would pop up saying ' Cannot copy ______ : Cannot find the specified file. Make sure you specify the correct path and file name. ' I was told that it wasn't my psp that had the problem but my computer. The .iso files come straight from my desktop to the iso folder in the psp. Help? - thanks.

maybe a bad cord because i had a bad cord and i got a new one and it worked great

try restarting your computer also that might work

I downloaded some psp games from the internet. Tekken Dark Resurrection, MGS Portable Ops, etc. How do I play these on my psp? I have version 2.6. I've read about devhook, homebrews and sh*t. It's all Greek to me. All I want is to play the psp games I downloaded.

I have checked a lot of the forums and the usual google and stuff and not really found an answer, but
what i would like to know is what is the best program and how to use it to rejoin the split iso and cso files.

I am somewhat of a noob but have managed to get myself running on a 3.40oe a and used a standard iso
file from my psp just not sure how to join the likes of ones available from this site, for backup use only ofcourse..

With just using eloader for it. Do you think it will work?

i don't think you can do it by eloader, because the ps1 emulation wasn't added untill 3.03 (or at least not a stable version [correct me if i'm wrong]). so having that said, you need 3.03oe or higher.

I'm sure it won't work.
You have to downgrade to 1.50 then install custom firmware (such as 3.40 OE-A).
The PS1 emulator is only in 3.00 (official) firmware or higher, and of course any custom firmware (such as 3.03 OE-C).

Hi all.....

Alright, I just picked up a PSP from someone the other day and am trying to do something with it. It has offical firmware 3.50 on it, a 2 GB memory card and the UMD drive does not seem to work (it spins and tries to read discs but never does). I have figured out how to convert movies and put them on the card (yeah me!), but how do I put some games on the memory card and play them from there?
