Publishers, wow. Talk about changing everything. What if the hombrew that Sony has fought so hard suddenly goes mainstream. Would Sony have to change policy? The hardcore hombrew developers are prob. working harder than anyone to get the full potential from the PSP, and they are more connected to the demographic so they can produce what the public wants. Sorry, just thinking out loud.
The game does look really good, can't wait to see more.
This is true. Since the homebrew we are seeing, like Wandria, is growing more and more amazing after each game they make, what can Sony do? I havent seen alot of good games coming out for the PSP lately anyways, retail wise I mean. Sony should some how embrace the homebrew scene, as they have few other options.
To think of it as a Corporations stand point, would you rather embrace your Consumers Ideas/Add-ons to one of your products, Scrap the Whole PSP Project together [Games, HardWare, SoftWare, etc] or continue on their path of doing nothing.
Checking in on the PSP section of the Playstation website, nothing changes. Since Homebrew has become so widely used, and we are cracking their FirmWare as soon as they get it out, Sony's PSP add-ons are seemingly worthless.
I strongly doubt they will scrap such a large product as the PSP, so embracing it would be good. But if they dont, we can all keep an eye out for worthless updates and an Official Site full of crap.
I say Sony should Embrace games like Wandria to recognize their creators. This is the type of Publicity Sony should want from their products. Real Products consumers love to use, and want to contribute to themselves.
Give in to Homebrew Sony, your not going to fight it and win.
