A consultant who worked for the city has been charged with stealing $10 million worth of equipment from the computer company Cisco Systems, federal agents said yesterday. The consultant, Michael Kyereme, 40, was arrested on Friday and has been charged with mail fraud, the Federal Bureau of Investigation said. Mr. Kyereme, who assisted city employees with computer problems, is charged with ordering unneeded replacement parts under a service contract with Cisco and selling them to computer resellers, the agents said. According to documents filed in Federal District Court, agents recovered computer parts worth $3 million at Mr. Kyereme’s home.
