Well, last week I started talking to Xecuter about having an interview. We were planning to hold it this weekend over IRC. Unfortunately, we both were busy this weekend with our personal lives. So I sent them a couple of questions over email.. here's their responses.

"Soft-Mods: Blaster360 is getting ready to be shipped out, how successful do you
think this device will be?

Team Xecuter: It's a far more complicated product than some people understand or give credit for. You can't just simply use a cable extender to include its multi odd version features. The question of it being successful is easy. It already is, we've sold out 2 batches in the last 2 weeks before its even hit the shelves. Once its on the streets users will be pretty excited about how easy and useful it is. of course you will always get those that have no use or need for this kind of product and they just post hate to forums. Pretty bizarre how some gamers think these days - but what else is new right? smile.gif

Soft-Mods: Besides the Blaster360 and PS3Hyperdrive, what else do you have in
mind to work on?

Team Xecuter: We have a couple of cool things in the pipeline. From recent experience I'm not going to talk about anything else in future until I'm certain of a released date. We've been burnt by slow development / manufacturing delays in recent months. I've taken steps to make sure that doesn't happen again.

Soft-Mods: If you are planning on working on something else, can you explain what
it is and what it will do?

Team Xecuter: cool stuff smile.gif

Soft-Mods: How far away do you think we are from having homebrew on the xbox360/ and
for the PS3?

Team Xecuter: Xbox360 is so very close yet so far away at the same time. We have a dedicated team working on this all the time. You would be surprised how much has been discovered and achieved however we are still far away from this. As you are away this area is our speciality, I think a lot of the 360 newcomers to the scene don't know this smile.gif

Team Xecuter: We have no direct interest in hacking the PS3's security. I have no problem in making addons (e.g the Hyperdrive was requested by someone for various reasons. It's changed a lot from what we first posted anyway. I listened to the negative feedback of the design and acted on that.

Soft-Mods: It seems like you guys have some knowledge about the upcoming Paradox
Loader, can you share some of that with us? What firmware versions it
will work on? How it will boot? And if it is a full blown exploit?

Team Xecuter: Just wait till the European release of the PS3. imsure more will happen around then.

Soft-Mods: What are your plans for development on the PS3, any ideas yet?

Team Xecuter: I have no plans other than HDD extenders. Who knows though?

Soft-Mods: Many people think you guys haven't done much for the xbox360 scene,
what do you guys think about that and is there something in the
upcoming future that will change their minds?

Team Xecuter: They would be correct. We've released a couple of useful toys like the X360USB and Connectivity Kit v2 (along with the blaster) and they have done very well - because they work and do the job however our area of expertise hasn't had an opportunity to be exploited yet on a widespread level. All I say is when that happens - just remember the bios's and hacks and other toys we hammered out on the Xbox1 - it will be play time all over again. Believe me we miss the action, I just find some people very fickle - they forget easily what we've done before now and what we are capable of and now they just trash talk like they are some pimp coders or that we owe them something ? Funny people. In the meantime MUCH respect to the ODD hackers like the Specialist, Commodore4eva, Garyopa etc etc - Great work.

Soft-Mods: And for the final questions, what do you have to say for all the Team
Xecuter haters out there?

Team Xecuter: We've probably forgotten more about Xbox hacking than you will ever know in your entire lifetime. So STFU and do something useful other than be a hateboy. Its boring, retarded, not big and not clever. You bitch about how we make money? The development for just one product alone is probably twice your annual salary alone (if you even have a job) and takes thousand of man hours and extreme talent. One golden rule - if you don't like our product don't buy it. haters are retards - I remember in Xbox1 day they puked hate but at home were using DVDX software and half the hacks that we'd developed within bios's and other software we'd been anonymously involved in. Fucktards. Vent over - bitchy enough I think lol

Soft-Mods: Thanks for the interview; I'll be looking forward to keeping in touch
with you guys in the future!"

Interesting enough.. As you read, it seems we are getting closer and closer to homebrew on the Xbox360 smile.gif. They also refused to give out any more information about Paradox's Loader. Some strong words for all the Team X haters out there! Also giving some shout outs to some of the big developers in the scene.. Always nice to hear from Xecuter!
