Hi!
I just got my 1.50 JAP PSP. Since I don't own any games, I want to buy a game, but since I live in Germany it's probably an european version. So my question is, does, i.e. the european Wipeout require firmware 1.52 or even 2.00 and does it include such a firmware update? And if it includes one, can I prevent it from installing the firmware update or does it install the update automatically once I insert the UMD?

Firstly, wipeout needs 1.52.....at least it does if you want to download the gamma pack...
The best thing to do is find the WAB Version changer and pop that on your PSP. Following the instructions will let you trick your PSP into thinking it is a 2.0 (or 1.52 should you chose that option) and then run the MAJORITY of UMDs that need an update without issue.
Im sure others will be able to add to this....
