Well as you can tell from the chart, Sony did not do so well. Only between the months of January and April was Sony ever beating Nintendo. Sony was not on top of the ball in 2006, and, to be honest, I don't think they will ever be back on top. Nintendo had an outright win, in both the DS, and the Wii (which sold 3 million copies in 5 weeks during the holiday season). Sony has said to be back in business for the start of 2007, but with no releases at all in the first week, they might have lied. This is only my opinion, and can be rejected and argued to as much extent as you would like. Thanks

Pretty disappointing, I kinda expected that though. The PS3 not being around and the Wii being released and all. I only hope Sony can get back up on top of things!

Nintendo has been on the gaming scene long before Sony has, and to be honest with ourselves, sometimes Nintendo has better software lineups than Sony too. In my opinion, nothing can compete with the Mario Bros. Franchise, so the graph doesn't surprise me at all. Plus, there has always been the fact that Nintendo's price range seems to be more affordable to the casual gamer.

Sony had it coming. You just can't compete with an all time veteran Like Nintendo. Satoru Iwata did it good with the early release and reasonable price range. Besides, there aren't any stories about someone getting shot for a wii, am I right? [although the incident with the wiimote owning a 40-somewhat inch plasma TV is quite sad..]

Nintendo was definitely prepared to make up for it losses, especially for the recalls. But Sony will always be able to stay in the game, they are a bigger company than Nintendo

lol....

Certainly different from when the PS2 was competing with the Gamecube.
