i have a bunch of mp4 movie but my my converter will not look at them because they have no thm file is there anything that will create one from the film already on my hard drive

pspvideo9 auto-creates thumbnails from the first frame of the video.
You can create your own thumbnails too, its standard jpeg 160x120. Rename it to .thm

pspvideo9 wont look at the vids coz it says no tag name and how do you create thumb nails then

Hard way to do it is screenshot the video, paste it into an image editor and resize it, save as a 160x120 Jpeg and rename it to the same as the video, but with a THM extension.
If you go to the "Copy" tab in PSPV9, and click on "File Info" near the bottom left, there's an option to "Create thumbnail from video". That'll do what you want if you have either a JPG or the original AVI.
Otherwise, I really can't think of a quick & simple option.

Open Notepad, go to File --> Save As... and name it the same name as your MP4 files and give it a .thm extension after selecting All Files.
