Hey guys. I just went through the Homebrew Application's list of apps. Either I missed something or its not on there. I am looking for a video player for the psp that will play movie files in the PSP full resolution instead of the 320x280 resolution. I know that the PMP player does this, but I think that is only for FW 1.5. Is there a newer program for FW 3.02? Thanks.

you cannot run homebrew on any thing higher than 2.80

Oh. Thanks for that info. Then all I have to do is switch firmware to 2.8 and I can use homebrew right? What homebrew do you recommend? Thanks.

There is no possible way for homebrew on 3.02 and that includes downgraders as well.
Enjoy your games for now and use MP4 AVC which the quality is not bad at all, it just takes a bit more space and while you have fun wait for a downgrader or 3.02 homebrew wink.gif

Godz.

Still there is no possible way for homebrew in any firmware above 2.81 including 3.0x.

3.03OE-A is a custom firmware and can only be installed from 1.5 or from an other custom firmware.
The guy has the official 3.02..
belmont717
I don't have official 3.02. I'm using devhook to load 3.02 so I can play the games I dl =D.

Why do you want a video player for 3.02 if you are not in 3.02?

There is no point in emulating a firmware to use a video player that works in your native firmware anyway.

Ye homebrew wont work on anything higher then 2.8

I was thinking I was on a 3.02 firmware because when I go to the System information it says 3.02 and the nickname is devhook installer.

I just wanted to know about a video player for the psp that will allow me to play video at the PSP full resolution ( I think 420X something I forget). I guess I won't be able to do that unless I have FW 1.5 to use the PMP.

Thanks for the replies.

is there a homebrew for 3.03?

If you are using devHook, your PSP's firmware is probably between 1.5 to 2.8. So that means you can use the PMP mod. But WHY? Why do that when you can downgrade to 1.5 then upgrade to 3.03OE-C. There isn't a single reason not to, other than the fact you are scare of bricking your PSP when downgrading or upgrading. Other than the PMP mod 3.03OE-B/C is the only other way to play MP4's that have 480x272 resolution. Once you get 3.03OE-C you will never go back.
