considering ps3's are selling for less on ebay then they are in the store, i would imagine xbox360 has this one, but wii will jump ahead of 360

i got my ps3 last week and love it. my friend has an xbox360(6 months) and ps3(1 month). i asked him which system he likes better. his xbox360 right now is collecting dust. xbox360 has more games though but i wonder why he doesn't play with it that much. he said he prefers the ps3. that's how i ended up buying one! hehe ps3 controllers are very light. it's much lighter than the ps2 and xbox360 controllers.
we'll have to wait until all the new games come out on ps3 to find out. microsoft knows very well that if they don't include the hd dvd player they will lose to ps3 in the long run. i believe the PS3 will take the crown. besides... blu-ray is better.

PS3 is hotter. U even hear stories about people getting shot up over that stupid shit. Risking their lives for a videogame system

Wait till 2008, and Ps3 will put the final nail on X360's coffin (X360 won't die, but won't ever surpass Ps3 again).
We're talking Metal Gear, Final Fantasy, Gran Turismo, Tekken, Devil May Cry, God Of War - And this is only a just first wave of exclusives.

i think the 360 will do better than the original xbox, and the ps3 will be less successful than ps2, i'm currently waiting for the ps3, but am not sure whether is worth the wait.

I personally think the 360 dominates the PS3 by far. The 360 marketplace is better, the online service is way better, the games (360 exclusives are better.....you can keep your Metal Gear, Final Fantasy, Gran Turismo, Tekken, Devil May Cry, God Of War)...talk about old hat!! Dead rising, saints row, gears of war, halo 3, just cause....all new excellent games ONLY for 360 are way better

The 360 controller is better...and it vibrates

oh...and the 360 just looks better. Dont get me wrong i like sony, i own a PSP and have a 50"" sony hdtv, but the PS3 just is'nt a patch off the 360.

The biggest factor in my opinion is the price( Sony loose about £200 per console ) but in the long run ps3 will come out on top due too the awsome games scheduled for release.

Looking purely at sales, it looks like the Wii is winning.
Personally, I would buy a PS3 before a Xbox 360 though (if I ever have that much money to spend).

In the long run PS3 will probly preveil since it incorperates BlueRay into their system heinse the 600 dollar price tag.
The Xbox 360 wont go out for a long time since there are lots of people playing FPS and such on paid subscriptions to Xbox LIVE.
I believe once square enix puts out an RPG title for the PS3 thats when PS3 will vanish off shelves.
But as of right now Xbox360 Reigns supreme with live and all the things you can do with it like buy HD movies and store them on the hdd....... Play great games like Gears of War, Rainbow six Las Vegas, and all the many sports games on live... DONT FORGET XBOX also is gonna carry HALO 3!!!!! Thats what Im waiting for!!!!!
Just wait another 3 months, when PS3 gets more games!!!! Sony knows what they are doing just look at sales numbers for PS1 PS2 and PSP!!!!!!
I have no intrest in the Wii nor will I ever get one... its just priced so low that people want to buy it but you wont get 1080i out of it. but the vidoe does look pretty awsome for Zelda, I must admit.

I honestly think the 360 will win, i don't think with the price the PS3 can come back.

I dont think that the 360 will win. The ps3 is doing fine and its not even released in Europe yet. Plenty of people are preordering over there like crazy. The PS3 is new in its architecture and developers are still learning how to design for it. Dont be so quick to jump the gun because it costs more.

Feb 22 2007, 01:09 AM
And has the 360 been out longer? Thats what I thought. I just stated that the system wasnt even released in Europe yet.
Gotta give the ps3 time, the 360's launch was pretty crappy too.

As im in the UK and its not out yet, have pre-ordered my PS3 !
I really think that the PS3 will win in the long run BUT im pretty sure I will end up buying both.
If you look at the cost (in the uk anyway) of a 360 + HD-DVD drive then its just short of the asking price of a PS3. So to be honest the 360 isn't that much cheaper.
Prices from Gamestation:
XBox 360 Console (Premium) = £279.99
XBox 360 HD-DVD Drive = £129.99
Total = £409.98
PS3 Console = £425
A difference of only £15.02
Originally had a PS2 but bought an XBox just for Fable. Will wait for the 360 price to fall and will probably get one with Fable 2 when it's out.
Just really looking forward to March 23rd, have booked the day off work and have pre-ordered Resistance Fall of Man & Motorstorm, It's gonna be a great Friday !!

The wii is out of the question, its just not good enough for next gen. Im seriously considering buy a 360 but ill wait till the ps3. And one thing that may hold the 360 back is that they breakdown after warrenty. Any1 here had theres for more than a year???????

i would say the xbox 360 has a good variety of games ex: gears of war , accesories .. wirelss mike... and the amount of space and price is still good it takes up less space compared to ps3 .... wat dominated the 360 is its marketplace... and live features...... so basially iwould say he 360 would make to homes faster jus because of the head start and the price range....

I know this topic is old but I thought I should voice my opinion, here it is, NO ONE CONSOLE WILL BE THE WINNER and here's why that is.
PlayStation 3: This a great 3rd generation to the PlayStation family, it has an unsurpassable RSX and cell processor, free online, the Blu-Ray, built in Wi-Fi, not to mention Sony's fantastic intergration of PSP to PS3 capabilities and some great games to looks forward to in the early 08 to mid 09. Unfortunately Sony lacks exclusives and what they do have feels like a re-run of previous titles ect. Now a previous argument point would have been the price, but with the 40GB and 80GB you get your moneys worth, I imagine if any console will take the lead it will be the PS3. (OH also Sony's customer service pwns Microsoft, it's like Microsoft's employees read script and no next to nothing about their system, where as Sony can fill you in on every nook and crany of features on their system).
XBOX 360: The 360 is a huge step up from the original XBOX and it is quite the impressive console, with a long line of exclusives, the most in depth online play, wide line of customiztions for the outter look of your console, accessories, nice looks and easy to use features, making the 360 a very pick-up and play console. Unfortunately, it took Microsoft the longest time to fix one of the biggest problems in gaming history and that is unexceptable. The expensiveness of the console leaves a hole in your pocket with every which thing whether it be accessories, online play or just the console in an of it's self which is very annoying I'd rather not pay an arm and a leg thanks. So between the games, needed accessories, online play, and unreliability of the console you're asurred to be broke. However this console is fun and would definately be a close second to the PS3 just as the original XBOX was a close second to the PS2.
Nintendo Wii: The Wii is an interesting console, with built in Wi-Fi, online play and 3D motion sensing controls, but lets face it if you're a Wii owner, than I'm not telling you anything new, the Wii lacks games first and foremost, considering most of the titles are made by Nintendo themselves, and the console is riddled with horrible 3rd party games. The only reason the Wii sells so well is because it's cheap and somewhat original (although Nintendo tried 3D motion sensoring and failed the first time due to technology at the time, this went a little better). The Wii is mainly a child orriented console, and lacks depth and maturity (< does that mean you can't have fun certainly not, but is a little gore too much to ask for?). This console may hold the lead in number of units sold, but overall it is a terrible console and as soon as you buy it you'll find that out. This console would come in at the very last of the nextgens, just as the Nintendo GameCube came in last of the gaming units.
ALSO JUST AS AN FYI
(for anyone who tries to say the Wii pwns PS3, Japan was Nintendo's leading ground as it's their home country duh, and now they've been slapped out of the way by the 40GB PS3 which has trampled the Wii in sales week after week.)

No, Basically:
PS3 - Best built, and great games/exclusives coming this year
360 - Great exclusives, but pricey equipment, potentially unreliable.
Wii - Most units sold, but that doesn't mean a thing, horrible third party games, failure in the end.

Not really sure, I mean the 360 has great games but I think the PS3 has more potential in the future because of its hard ware. Well as for the video card, its the same series of die in my custom computer, the only reason its so good is because people will design specifically for that and only that. If they did it PC style both video cards in the consoles would be an utter piece of crap. But for now I'm sticking with my 360, I might buy my friends PS3 though, he doesn't have time to use it

in terms of console power, ps3 wins hands down
in terms of cheaper gaming, buy a xbox360
