While frame-skipping through the Spiderman2 intro seeing what's in the individual panels in the Marvel intro at the start, I noticed that it was exactly 25 frames of video before the second advanced. So the video has presumably been taken from a PAL 25fps source for UMD conversion. Is anyone able to try this with a "NTSC" region UMD and see if they've got 30fps (29.97) video in theirs.

I thought it was odd.
