first things first if you have the autoexec mod for hen DISABLE IT NOW before moving on.

first you must get the ta-082 downgrader from dax.lan.st and you will also need the 1.50 update file.

than follow these instructions in order do not skip any steps or take shortcuts or anything just follow them and dont be lazy damnit

- Copy the UPDATE and idstoragechange folders into /PSP/GAME/
- Get the official sony 1.50 eboot and put it in the /PSP/GAME/UPDATE folder with the name of
UPDATE.PBP

- Run HEN-D if you are not already running it.

- Execute the idstoragechange. It needs 75% battery.
It will change some keyes of your idstorage needed to downgrade the ta-082.

- The program will exit to the XMB. Now execute the generic downgrade, which will show in the xmb
as "Update X.YX" in the psp language.

- The generic downgrader will also need 75% battery. IT will downgrade your psp to 1.50.

- At the end, it will ask you to press X to restart the psp. Do it.

- If all went fine, you'll receive a blue screen telling you to press O. Do it, and reenter your settings.
Welcome to 1.50.

- If things didn't go that fine, you'll have a non-functional psp, aka brick.
You accepted that risk, remember.

MAKE SURE YOU SAVE THE 1.50 UPDATE FILE IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU DO.

once that is done and you have 1.50, download the OE-A installer from dax.lan.st
since you already have the 1.50 update eboot now you need to download the 3.02 update eboot.

now assuming you have the 1.50 and 3.02 eboot files rename the update.pbp for 1.50 to 150.pbp and the update for 3.02 to 302.PBP

- Copy oeupdmaker and oeupdmaker% to /PSP/GAME/ if you are using 1.50 firmware and to
/PSP/GAME150 if you are using whatever version of 2.71 Se.

- Get the 1.50 and 3.02 sony updaters in the oeupdmaker folder with the names "150.PBP" and "302.PBP".

- Run the program. This program won't write to the flash, it will just create a file called DATA.DXAR in the
same directory (oeupdmaker).

- The program will verify that the SHA-1 of the generated file is correct.

- Once that you have done this, you can save the DATA.DXAR file to skip this step in the future.

SHA1 of DXAR: BB43B06852826F446CCA933927C3D54C50E151B1
MD5 of DXAR: 5BD5DE55204BB8A407C0187C3DA1040C

Flashing 3.02 OE
----------------

- Copy the directories oeflasher and oeflasher% to /PSP/GAME (or /PSP/GAME150 if you are on 2.71 SE)

- Copy the generated DATA.DXAR file at oeflasher directory.

- Run the flasher. If your battery is less than 75%, the program will show the error saying that
and will return to the XMB.

At petition of someone with battery problems, now this check can be by passed at your own risk;
Execute the program with triangle and L pressed.

- The program will continue showing an agreement. Press X to accept
it and flash the custom firm, or R to cancel and exit to the XMB.

- If you accept, the program will flash the custom firmware. DONT shutdown the psp and DON'T
quit the memory stick.

- After finished, shutdown the psp and restart manually... to 3.02 OE smile.gif

than once that is done you will have 3.02 OE installed on your TA-082 unit. Now for the OE-B update
download the OE-B from dax.lan.st and extract the files from the rar to GAME150 in your psp . the exact DIR will be /psp/GAME150. once thats done scroll down to the oe-b installer in your memory card and run it. the program takes about 5-10 seconds to install and it will reboot to the XMB once its done u will have 3.02 OE-B on your psp. ENJOY THIS BECAUSE I KNOW I DO. TODAY WAS ONE OF THE HAPPIEST DAYS OF MY LIFE.

Nice guide sonic-iso.

But dax.lan.st doesn't have the downgrader; it's on: http://www.dark-alex.org/
And you can get a 1.50 EBOOT from here: http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/4

Yes many. I am one of them. T-082 that was on 2.71 went to 1.5 and then to 3.02OE-a then to 3.02OE-b

You can not yet use the downgrade package unless you are at 2.71 AFAIK.

Congratulations on your downgrade/upgrade, and yes you can delete all the folders you put in "ms:\PSP\GAME\" afterwards.

Unfortunately you cannot downgrade your PSP; at the moment you can only downgrade or run homebrew on up to 2.80.
The closest you can run to homebrew is applications and games that run via the web browser.

Thanks, guess i'll just keep waiting...

P.S. Whenever the downgrade does come availiable..will anyone be willing to help me step by step with the downgrade?

Sure, no problem, but I think you'll be waiting a good while yet.

A few questions:
- have you put the ISOs in the "ms:\ISO\" directory?
- do they show up in the XMB? / when do they fail to run?
- have you tried more than one ISO? / or ISOs from different sources?
- what brand and capacity is your memory card?
- have you tried it with a UMD? / or have you tried enabling NO-UMD from recovery mode?

sorry.. but what does 2.71 "AFAIK" means.. tongue.gif

I have a TA-082 that came with 2.60.. i upgraded it some time ago to 2.71 to be able to use devhook for 2.71... can I still use this guide to downgrade it to 1.50->etc... or not?..

thanks

I'm pretty sure this is for 2.80 versions, so you might have to update first, but then you could follow this guide.

Anybody know if this would also work on a 2.71. I'm still just thinking 2.80, either way youll have custom firmware in no time.

It means "As Far As I Know".

This guide is now out of date; there is an easier and safer method which I've outlined here:

Having a Custom FirmWare allows you to do all of that. What FirmWare are you currently on nghost?

Here's a list I wrote a while back for 3.10 OE:
- play real UMD games (which require up to 3.10 firmware)
- play real UMD videos (and region-free)
- play ISOs (backed up UMD games) from the Game section of the XMB (and NO-UMD)
- run homebrew that uses the 3.10 kernel (put it in "ms:\PSP\GAME\", where "ms:" is your PSP memory card drive letter)
- run homebrew that uses the 1.50 kernel (put it in "ms:\PSP\GAME150\"); almost all homebrew goes here
- watch MP4 videos (put it in "ms:\VIDEO\" and it will come up in the Video section of the XMB)
- browse the web using the Internet Browser
- play PS1 games using the official Sony emulator
- prevents accidental firmware updates
- recovery mode (hold the "R" shoulder button when booting)
- plug-ins for extra functionality

1.50 homebrew includes being able to run NES emulators.

Not at this time, sorry.

I know it's too late now, but if you had updated to 3.10 OE (or any OE custom firmware), this wouldn't have happened.
