i need to find a 2.60 downgrader without needing to use the gta eloader cos i dont have gta thanks and i cant upgrade because the 2.71 eboot is just saying corrupted data and being weird =S

Try (or re-download) another 2.71 EBOOT.
Then if you get the same error, there's probably a problem with your memory card.

ok heres what you have to do
1. Make sure you make an UPDATE folder under your psp GAME folder And place the eboot under the UPDATE folder.
2. Once updated download this 2.71 generic downgraderupdate flasher generic downgrader
3. Place this also Under you GAME folder
4.Download the 1.5 eboot 1.5 update
5. Now rename this from eboot.pbp to update.pbp and put in the generic downgrader folder
6.Now before you run the downgrader make sure your psp is fully charged and plug in the charger even if its fully charged
7.Now run the downgrader and it should say extracting psar and once done it will ask you are you sure you want to continue and click yes and let your psp alone until the downgrader is 100% surely done. You dont want to end up with a brick

hope this helps and good luck downgrading OH and make sure you dont have a TA-082 motherboard or you will Have A 100% chance of bricking your psp

Those are good detailed instructions (apart from the fact that the 1.50 EBOOT link is wrong), but the problem hayezy had was that he couldn't upgrade to 2.71. His problem sounds like a corrupted file or dodgy memory card to me.
maps
use your friend's memory card then...itz only for afew minutes...have u scan ur memory card for errors??

ok I fixed the 1.5 update link
and well if its his mem card what kind does he have if its not his 32mb he could use that one to do everything

The best thing you can do is borrow it, if not then upgrade to another firmware EX:2.71 then try downgrading cause i think you don't need GTA for that firmware.
