If it's a constant thing it could be that your ISP has capped your bandwidth.
It happened to me with TalkTalk and now the only time I can download anything via torrents is between midnight-8am, and then I don't get anywhere near the speeds I should.
It really pissed me off cos during the first 14 days I had them, the period in which I could cancel, I was able to download anything I wanted at brilliant speeds. But on the 15th day, BAM! No more downloads and I've been stuck with them for almost a year now... Needless to say, once the years up I won't be resigning...

Im going to keep this answer blunt and simple. Cap the upload speed! Make sure there are over 20 seeders. Thats it!

i used to use anything reliable and fast
sometimes torrents
other times p2p like limewire PRO or bearshare
(depends on how old the file is and how many sources/seeders)
but i can't anymore cuz some1 stole my laptop...

Torrents arent slow as long as there are enough seeders hosting it. Programs like utorrent just let you dl the files, not gonna really make a difference in speed. You just need to find a file that a lot of people have.
Plain and simple, just like using limewire, pick a file that 1 person has, its gonna dl a lot slower than a file that 30 people have.

As long as you cap the upload speed you will get a fast download. I use isohunt and torrent bay. If you click order by seeds then its easy to see which files have a lot of seeds.

Not exactly true, since the file needs to have a decent number of seeds to go fast. Few seeds will result in a slow download no matter what you cap your upload speed at.

I have tried many differnt dl b4.. Torrents simply cannot make it.. Here is my suggestion.. At least for me i am able to complete a 200mb file within 15mins ..
Dl a accelerator named "Internet download Manager ".. It spds up direct download..
Find threads which giv direct download n open with IDM ( Preferably links at mihd )
It allow concurrent dls, unlimited.. ITs freaking fast.. I dl 30gb within these 3 days le..
