I wanted to give psp-spot a few hours to try and get the story on here, but looks like theyre runnin behind, heres the story:

QUOTE
I’ve been conversing throughout the day with Matt Farrow. Apparently he has been developing a PSP Emulator for your PC which will ultimately run on your Xbox. The emulator is responsible for emulating the PSP BIOS and firmware. The firmware has been totally rebuilt from scratch using source graphics and audio.

Lastly, PSPEmu is able to boot PBP files. Matt Farrow claims he is able to boot an ISO loader and with a couple of tweaks load an actual ISO - only at 4fps though.

This is the beta version feature list:

    Beta Version Feature List:
    +Stable PSP Firmware Emulation
    +Laptop/Tablet PC Battery Support
    +2.0 Web Browser Emulation
    +Runs PBP Files(Homebrew)
    +ISO Support(Not At Full Speed)
    +WiFi Support
    +Theme Setup
    +Wallpaper Customisation
    +MP3 and MPEG Support
    +Full Screen Mode
    +Reset,State Save and Power Off.
+Home Button Support(Includes Home Confirmation Screen)
    +UMD Emulation(.umd files - new file type)*
+XBOX Version - (Limitations - No WiFi or ISO Support)
    +Linux Version
    +Windows And Mac Versions
    +PSP Drive Emulation(PSP/GAME/ etc.)
    +Extended 3D Rom Support
    +New Project Name:PSPemu (Xbox: PSPemuX)

The release date is scheduled for October 1st - quite awhile from now. Stay tuned and we’ll see - hopefully some evidence will be released prior to then!

You can check out Matt’s other work at his site

The no ISO support for xbox is gonna be a pain, he says that the files will be in .umd format. Which means we'll prolly have to convert iso's, or there will be a .umd ripping program, and you'll need to rip from the actual game...
Shihiko
Actually psp-spot posted it awhile ago, it got trashed though. Not sure why though...
Optimus Prime
Well for one we don't post "works in progress" unless they're from a respectable dev. Thats like me saying I'll post a news post of a psp review coming soon!

No we post news when something comes out.
Shihiko
I see, well yeah who posts stuff that doesn't exist anyway? heh.
Bezerker

Yeah they were announcements from a dev team that had done stuff previously and I quote myself again, "unless they're from a respectable dev."
