I can only see US and Jap versions is there one out for UK/Eur versions or if not which do i use?

Nope you can still use this method with any firmware. Below 2.71.

So do i just get the upgrade to 2.71 from the offical sony site and then follow the next stages from there

i.e Upgrade to 2.71 with the offical EBOOT.PBP

then

Do NOT get your update file from the official Sony site, as it will be for 3.0x and you will NOT be able to downgrade.
Use the USA version in the link I gave you, it's the same as the UK one and I've used it on many PSPs here in the UK so I can confirm that it works fine.
When you have upgraded to 2.71, then follow the other instructions.

Ok i'm getting there but struggling on the third stage, Install and run Update flasher the read me says :-

Do i have to copy over the SRC folder aswell?

Sorry for all the questions, but i want to get this right rather than brick it

On your PSP, there will be a program under Game in the XMB named something like "X.YZ Firmware Update".
This is the downgrader (the program you need to run).


No, you don't need to copy it, it's the source code.
