At last the PSP has officially arrived in Europe, i purchased one this morning but being stuck at work the only thing i have managed to do is switch it on for 10 minutes and charged it up. Yes it is very sweeeet!

The one thing i noticed is that it says it is version 1.52. Isnt version 2.0 the latest? Should i upgrade it? What are the advantages / disadvantages?

oh and one more thing: is it ok to play games/movies/music whilst the psp is connected to the pwer adaptor?

thanks for advice.

just for info: i got lumines with it biggrin.gif

Dont upgrade what ever you do !!!
a hack is due any time to allow downgrade to v1.5fw enabling you to play homebrew/isos

Playing anything on it while it's charging/connected to AC adapter is perfectly fine. No harm in the least.

What happens if you insert the demo? Will it automatically upgrade to 2.0?
ashman
yes by inserting the demo it automatically upgrades to 2.0,
another desperate and cheap tactic from sony, this downgrader is really causing mass public hype, well i cant wait, ive donated just to show my support.

The Australian demo doesn't install automatically.

It has an option to upgrade.

It also has a bunch of music videos - demo game videos and a spider-man II trailer.
ravenslayer
you can first boot your psp and then insert the demo afther that you have the umd option and upgrade to 2.0
design
yup it does not automatically upgrade on the EUR version either
Frox
Yep just put the demo in ya PSP.
You will get an extra icon under the "controller" saying version 2.00 firmware upadte or somehting similair.

Just check the demo. It won't automatically update,...
I had to check Natasha Bedingfield tongue.gif and still got 1.52 tongue.gif
