Just picked up my PSP-1002K with the midnight launch here in NZ. After putting its Hori screen protector on, I've fired it up and yes, it has a 1.52 firmware. NOT 2.0!

So, if the downgrader gets released in the next day or so, those folks with a PSP-1002 (Which all the Euro/Australiasian ones are I believe), will be able to go to 1.5 and enjoy homebrew.

My European 1004 came with 1.52 as well.

What will happen if I insert the Demo Disk into my 1.52 PSP? Will it automaticaly upgrade to 2.0? Or can I watch the demos without any danger to my 1.52 firmware? I just don't dare to try...

lol

No, U can watch the demo disc no problem.

There is a option to upgrade under the game icon.
