hey guys.. i download a rar file and then how to get the iso and cso file from it>??? i extract to until it became psp game but i check each folder.. i cannot find the iso and cso ..... help...asap!!!!!

you have to choose which folder to extract it to before you extract it cause it could end up wherever winrar puts it

erm.. in the 1st place it should nt have psp game when i extract it right>>?

pretty much what I do is download a file and choose open with winrar if its a zip or rar file and then just drag whatever I downloaded to the desktop its a little easier in my opinion

What do you get when you extract it?
Make sure you haven't extracted the .iso file (it's auto-associated with WinRAR), many people seem to be doing this recently.

i get psp game folder.. and inside it look like it contain the data of the game such as their music,pic, etc all that stuff

do you have umdgen if so drag the files from winrar to wherever you like them drag them to umdgen and you can make a iso cso or dax image

you should upgrade umdgen to 3.5

yeah you can make iso cso or dax what you do is take the PSP_GAME folder and UMD_DATA.BIN and drag them to the umdgen then go to the top left corner of umdgen and go to file save as and then you can name the game and choose to save it as a ISO, Cso or dax image which is the smallest format and if your using devhook you can download support for dax herepsp-hacks

ya did as u told me.. but after the saving and the whole process completed.. guess wa?? it became a win rar archive.. y huh??

wow I'm not too sure whats happening then sorry um but how did it become a win rar archive did you extract it or drag the UMD_DATA.BIN and PSP_GAME folder not the rar file

it ok.. atleast ya did help me..anyway i drag both the file,, drag it to the place where it say no file shown.. and then save it as iso and then when the whole process finish.. it became that file... then i extract that file and inside it,,it have all the data again...

I think I know what's going on.

The .iso file you are creating (and had to begin with I suspect) is auto-associated with WinRAR, so it looks like a WinRAR file. This just means that WinRAR CAN extract, not that you SHOULD extract it. As long as the file extension is ".iso", even if it has the WinRAR archive icon, that is the file you should copy to the "ms:\ISO\" directory on your PSP and play using DevHook.
