I managed to downgrade my PSP 1003 K UK from 2.71 to 1.50 after a number attempts.

I had just about all the problems mentioned by others freezing at photo menu, failure after red screen, and just switching off.

Anyway on my last attempt i restored PSP to default settings, formatted 32MB memory card (as stated in instructions), BUT this time formatted the card from the PC as well before putting on the downdater files onto it.

After trying this ...it worked first time !!!

Now i dont know if i just got lucky but thats how it worked for me.

If i manage to downgrade anymore v2.71s i'll let you know.

It only took me 3 tries and I used a 2gb card filled up with music.

i used my 32mb card and after 4 trys IT WORKED!!! im soo happy now that i have a 1.5 psp!

On my friend's PSP (2.6 - 2.71 UK), I used his Sony 1GB memory card which was filled with demos, game saves and other various stuff, and it worked on about the eight attempt. Thanks again to all the devs who worked on it.

i used a fresh formatted 32mb stick and it worked first go!!!

WOW its great to see loads of people have sucessfully downgraded from 2.71 to 1.50

Do I need someone who has 1.50 to do this? The directions aren't that clear.
