Full Version: Introducing the “first” PSP

The seller describes this device as the “first” PSP, but it isn’t even a PSP. It’s an antiquated portable CD-I device made by Sony. This device plays all of the classic albeit terrible Nintendo CD-I franchised games like Link: The Faces of Evil and Zelda’s Adventure. But if you want to play Mario on a Sony system this is the only way you’re going to do it minus emulation. If you want to own a piece of gaming history try your luck on eBAY.com

Description:
Up for auction is a neat little trinket I found in a warehouse of merchandise that I purchased. It is Sony IVO-V11 Portable CD Interactive Viewer. I have seen this described as the first PSP, in the fact that it plays games, music and movies. I believe this is new condition because when I first booted it up, it ask me to set the date and other set up instructions were also given. It also looked new and had all of the instructions and the chords were also bundled up. I wanted to see if it worked so I played a cd in it but that is the extent of its testing since I have no games or CD-I movies. It comes with a power supply, mouse, Instructions, Safeguards, a waranty card ( which is probably not applicable), a 4" LCD screen with contrast & brightness, it has inputs for a camcorder. and also has a great sounding internal speaker. I'm sure this was very expensive when it came out, but I am starting the bidding at $9.99 with no reserve. International bidders pay a flat rate of $23. Bid with confidence and good luck.

THE BIDDING HAS ENDED
Winning Bid: $76.00

The 1st PSP looked nothing like this one. It was in no way portable and neither is this.
