Namco Bandai announced today that the Ace Combat series will be coming to the PSP. The game has been given the working title Ace Combat X: Skies of Deception and will support multiplayer via ad-hoc wireless. The game will feature a story separate from the Ace Combat series on PS2 and have licensed aircraft like the F-14D and Tornado F3.
"Ace Combat X: Skies of Deception will take full advantage of what the PSP system has to offer with brilliant graphics, intense high-flying portable game play, and for the first time, wireless Multiplayer functionality, all lending itself to a thrilling aerial combat experience, anytime, anywhere," Yoshi Niki, Namco Bandai America's Product Group Director said. "We are thrilled to bring to the fans the level of excellence the series is known for on such a high quality portable system."
Ace Combat X: Skies of Deception will release Fall 2006 exclusively on PSP.
