I am wondering though maybe it was posted before, how many of you guys managed to brick your PSP? Is it something common or a very rare thing? Don't wish to do something wrong yet to my new PSP

its kinda hard to brick your psp and if you manage to do so then your an idiot (unless your a programmer thats trying to make something new

)
well to brick your psp you would have to download this fake downgrader that somebody made (if im not mistaken someone did make a fake bricking downgrader right?) well n e ways to brick it you will have to mess up something in your flash and not that many programs (homebrw) even access your flash and im guessing you have 2.6 because you said its a new psp so if you use fanjita's eloader you won't brick your psp

For those that are able, it is awesome that they are working to promote the homebrew culture, but not wise for those who don't know what they are doing.

I agree. The possibility of bricking my PSP scares the hell outta me......I don't really bother trying to download games anyway. Just getting episodes of Family Guy is good enough for me

Yeah, downloading movies or music and putting them on your PSP won't damage it. I did actually had to remove the battery to get it working again after I played an converted movie from WMA to MPG to MP4. But it works again.

At first, I was really scared about putting games on to my PSP. But I've done it so much now, I'm not really scared of bricking my PSP.

I supose it is more scare crow story about bricking PSP since no one one here told he had done so. I know there are some fake downgraders but don't think some game can brick PSP, or am I wrong?

no there is no game that can brick your psp UNLESS IT REACHES THE FLASH MEMORY and most don't unless your trying to it won't just do it on its own
and for those who are scared about downloading and playing games on their psp don't be because its cool after you have modded your psp so it can do the things regular psp's can't do
so i guess this im not saying GO OUT AND PLAY GAMES NOW but im just saying that its hard to brick your psp unless you did intentionally and once you get the hang of putting games on your psp you will learn how to get more advanced in mods and will want to do more like i did

I upgraded from 1.52 to 2.00, then downgraded from 2.00 to 1.50. I was scared as hell the whole time that it would brick. Luckly it worked perfectly. I'm so glad I did now.

WTH is "bricking"? Forgive my ignorance...is this just an ESL way of saying "broken"?
