i think that you still have to send it to sony in japan, regardless of where you live. There are technical support numbers in your psp user manual.

I would just send it bacK TO Sony and let them deal with it.

im in LA Cali. they bougght it before xmas and by january she #$# it up. isnt the sony warranty good for like two months? so i dont even know if they will accept it.
