??? why is it considered such a great game

Ive played and completed it. It is a very good game but not a great game. I have played better gemes. A better game then halo on the xbox is project gohthem racing.

Its really good cause it has the best online play of any fps ever made and its really fun to kick some kids ass over the internet ( H2's campain was ok but not as great as H1's)

It's online play is just flat out AMAZING!! You can meet thousands of people.

i thought it was an excellent game, the campain was long and the online made me keep coming back to play it!

Cause it's fun to play with a group of people. Upto sixteen in total but I can assume most average casses are like four. Well it's got good graphics. Got good controls. It's more then just a 1P Shooter. Swords... *Drool* Good vehical controlling, for the most part. Plenty of overkill items and not just one or two like most other FPSs. Varied amount of maps. Plenty of good modes. You can play as lizard people. So many things that can happen along with glitches that will have you laughing. Did I mention it's fun to play with a bunch of people? xD

its too addictive i had to quit halo otherwise i'd be playing 24/7 even now

i think the reason Halo has good graphics and gameplay is because unlike alot of games theres very very few facials, the man guy always has his Helmet on and you rarely see a human without one on lol i just think thats why they can focus more on other aspects of the game other rather then getting the people to look real

I think its great because its got awsome multiplayer, and its unlike anyother game out there

Yeah, it really was only about multiplayer as the campaign was OK.

Single Player not that great, I complete maybe 20% of it, but played it online almost everyday. If you don't have XBOX LIve then it's not the best game in the worl.

halo is the best game ever for xbox and halo3 will be the best for xbox360

halo 1 and 2 are good games. But i think they'll both been wildly over-rated out the years.

Thats easy to answer because its a matter of opinion. I like more realistic games, therfore I dont like the setup of halo. I also hate playing respawns, thats why I play Socom on the ps2. Once youre dead, youre dead. Much more skill involved in a game where you cant keep respawning. Dont get me wrong, halo takes skill too as there are plenty of people who are ridiculous at that game, but mine is meant more of a general statement. I like it more tactical.

its awsome because of its multiplayer. playing against friends is ownage. shoot at the ground with a rocket launcher and it gets better

its got a good story line i have fisinshed 1 and 2 just waiting for number 3 to come out cant wait.

played for mostly the multiplayer. Most enjoyeable console FPS ive played since Golden Eye for N64.

you never played perfect dark then try it guarentee youd liked it better then golden eye =D

I think its the good gameplay, graphics, story, and the characters are what made it so great.

I will admit story mode for Halo 2 wasn't that great, but I mainly play for the online play. Their is just something about it that makes me want to keep playing it. It's just addicting to me.
