Hi all

I'm new to the psp world. I've got a japanese psp firmware 2.5, I received it last friday. The psp is new, i've also got 4 umd games all of which are second hand. 2 of the games work and 2 don't. The umb does not show up in the games menu. I know the games work as i've tried them on my nephews psp (firmware 2.01) they work fine. One of the games is region 1 and the other is region 2.

Does anyone know what the problem is? Should I return the psp?

Where did you order your PSP from? And were the games part of a bundle?

well all games are region free, only umd movies are region coded so i'm not sure

I bought the psp on ebay from a company in Hong Kong. I bought the games as a bundle in Ireland. The psp was ment to be region free "PSP Console (Black) ( no regional protection on all games, that means that it can play games from US, Japan or Europe)"

Perhaps you could sell it on eBay for a price slightly lower than what you bought it for, then buy a new one from the PSP retailer nearest you.

Or you could try return it? (Dont know how, cause it's eBay.)

You need to see about getting a region cracker for the two nonworking games
