I was at Costco today and I saw this. http://www.westerndigital.com/en/products/...110&Language=en
I noticed that this came with a usb mini-b cable (the same one that is used for the psp). Is this compatible? It also comes in 3 sizes (40,60,80 gb)

I looks like it could work but you would have to use i psp as a cpu like with the emu that just came out if you can i'll get one smile.gif

On ebay you can get a 40 gb for around $100. That is why i was thinking of getting it (same price as a 1 GB pro duo).

I don't think this will work because it is only a hard drive. The PSP cannot control any of the files it contains other than deleting it. You cannot transfer the files in and out of a PSP without some sort of cpu and a program. I wish someone would make a portable HDD that has a small cpu in it that can control the transfers between the PSP and the HDD.

I dont think we're going to be seeing any psp-end support for usb transfer either, there isnt a function on the psp (ie. ms0 disc0 etc.). Might be in future, usb support would be great, fit bigger movies, more mp3s, etc..

Though USB support isnt a good idea for sony since a LOT of their profit comes from memory sticks (probably less than a dollar to make one).
