Yes its true, Sony has decided to compete with Nintendo's "Nintendogs for the DS.



Dog Happy Life is scheduled to be released at the end of April 2006 (Japan), in the game the player must raise the puppy to adulthood.

Like Tamagotchi, you must take care of aminal by feeding it, walking it, playing with it, even dressing it!

There are plenty of animals to choose from; Labs, Poodles, Golden Retrievers, and even a cute Pitbull Puppy!

I doubt this game would take over the world like Nintendogs, but you never know, its Japan!

I thought one of the attractions of NintenDogs was that you could stroke, brush and scrub the dog using the touch-sensitive screen?

Still it may convince my gf to buy a PSP which will open up multi-player gaming at home.

yeah, i thnk the stylus is so great for that game, i dont know how the psp will compete, but im sure it will satisfy, i might buy it for my girlfriend, shes a dog nut

this game is gonna suck badly... its gonna be nowhere near as good as nintendogs.

Maybe it'll have an ad-hoc mini-game so you can do dog fights and do some betting to get virtual cash to buy the dog some upgrades like a chainmail/plate armor! +5 elfin dog breast plate of protection.... HAHAHAHAHA!!!! THAT would make the game worth buying!!

i do hope this game will be a success in Japan.
This way, we will get to have more good games coming out from developers since more people is buying PSP there.

don't see why sony have to compete with the DS...their two different systems....the DS is a gaming handheld & the psp is a multimedia hendheld device i think they shud just blow the DS out of the water by releasing the accessories that we all know will function...like a keyboard & a camera the DS can't compete with the possibilities of the psp so i don't think sony should bother trying to take the bigger share in the portable gaming scene....the psp will sell for more than the DS in the long run (cuz it's shit) & when the psp releses more useful accessories it'll out sell the DS easily.

OMG....this is a very weak attempt by sony. I expect more out of them than this.

interesting. i dont know what the big fuss is about, but i might try this game since i do not have a DS. dont know how sony is going to pull this off without a touch screen like the ds though...
