What if it's not really a bug? I mean, the exploit's existence has put GTA: LCS into the hands of people who probably wouldn't have bought it otherwise. It's done more to sell the game than any amount of advertising. What if Rockstar put the exploit in there on purpose,
they would be in a lot of trouble if it were true

well who knows if they did put the exploit in there then there are a smart company trying to make more money and obviously it worked right
if they did do it on purpose and if Rockstar were to get into trouble by sony there's no way to prove it
so who knows

i think that you mean savegame data is supposed to load every time that you open and start the game (it loads the most recently saved game) but what this topic means if gta put the exploit there is in the savegame. what it does is let a game run through it (which is considered homebrew a home-made game) and fanjita was able to discover it and make a "gta eloader" is what its called which lets you play old homebrew games that are already made for firmware 1.00 or 1.5. by the way one of the reasons that sony keeps making new firmware and putting more security and covery the old security holes it has in it is because of homebrew (basically its not wanted by sony)

Yeah, like see the future smart! It would be impossible for Rockstar to program thier game to exploit firmware 2.6 as it was released before 2.6 was created. It was created to run with v2.0.

yes u got a point there rockstar did make gta for firmware 2.00 so if they did make it on purpose they were thinking about the future when other firmware's came out but i still think they wouldn't do it on purpose just for homebrew since they ain't making money from homebrew 2.0+ users and they are getting money from sony producing the game unless.........

it'd be great to believe they did it on purpose... but they didn't, think how long before we could actually unload the code and run useful programs on it. we got lucky and now are protected from the firmware for a bit.

i think the overcharging for GTA is out of order, i know the whole point of PSP is that the consoles are sold at a loss and the games to make up the money. but surley there should be a set price for new games!???!?!??!!?

In my opinion I think they did it thinking that this would a good publicity to the game . I dont think they are innocent but it is a conflit they created with Sony and I dont know how the hell they are going to manage this.

Intresting idea. There is a chance they made the error for publicity, but I don't think so. Because if u think about it, knowing a game has a fault probably will hinder the sales, so they could not have planned for it. oh well just my opinion.
