First PSP Universal Remote!!!Alexmae and massa84 from psp-ita.com released the first universal remote for the PSP
here's what he had to say:
WORKS ONLY ON 1.50what it does
it lets you emulate every remote supported by lirc (www.lirc.org), they're nearly 1800 (all included in the release)
For the remotes not yet supported i suggest you to try to use the others remoted from the same manufacturer. there's a good probability that they would work
how do i make it work?
- extract the archive in the psp root
- launch the app
- press square and the remote list will appear
- select the manufacturer pressing x
- select the remote pressing x
- program will "reboot"
- press circle to make appear the commands list
- select the command and press xto exit press triangle! home button makes the psp crash
what will it do:
in a near future it will have a leaning commands functio, the gui will be improved now it's a little bit empty
raw lirc support
these files are already available but the app doesn't find any command
Thanks to massa84 for creating this app...Download the file from our server (Click Here)

im having a bit of trouble understanding it a little bit, well i have a toshiba tv too, and the remote it uses is ct-90159, and there is no .txt file for it, so i decided i would try out the oneforall stuff, but i dont see how to set those remotes to use codes from the oneforall website

I wish there was a easier way of doing this?
I have a Sony, and the folder has like 40+ codes....
I have yet to get it to work....
I 'll try late when I have more patience

1) for some reason, when i try to open the sony folder in the program, it automatically selects RM-D490.TXT..and no, it didnt work with my sony tv. (and yes, all the other files are in there as well)
2) i tried all of them on one of my sanyo tvs, and it didnt work.
i tried half on the other sanyo tv, and they didnt work either. ill try all the rest.
3) btw, djp, how did u know ur toshiba uses: ct-90159? is there a way to find this out? because im starting to get sick of going through all the files, and then finding out none works, lol.

If you're getting the "goodbye then it just quits" that means you need to put the remotes folder in the correct spot, that would be your ROOT memory stick folder. AKA mine is N:/. Whatever removable storage icon you click in your computer to open your memory stick, the one with PSP folder in it, you put the remotes in that same one. That will fix it just saying goodbye. As for it just starting the sony rm remote, same here, haven't figured that out yet. And finally as for people saying it's not working even with their specific model tvs, make sure you do a couple things, first get CLOSE to the device and try multiple commands to MAKE sure, second, hit R on your psp to cycle to the next freq, I was finally able to get it to work with my cablevision new york cable box by scientific atlanta only after finding the right freq, there is only 3 freqs per remote, so it shouldn't take you too long. As it stands right now, it still seems a bit off and definitely needs to be tweaked before it will have that whole "easily prank someone say at school or work or home" get up.

Great product. Although they didnt have a file for my remote i tried one that was close and it worked. Ive been wanting to change my tv sound to go out the output into my stereo system but havent been able to because of the lack of buttons. This fixed it all. Needs some polishing but its awesome!!

Great app, it is working very well on my Mitsubishi TV, now i have to test it with my Bell Satellite

Question : I'd like to try this nice app with my PS2, when i look on the SONY folder with all the .txt files i see 3-4 files for the PS2, but it seems that when i start the app on my PSP it only load the one for the TV. Is there a way to load the specific one i found on the SONY folder .txt ?
Thanks.
