Leading video games publisher and developer NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc. announced today that is will publish the popular rally racing game, World Rally Championship (WRC) for the PSP (PlayStation Portable) system in North America. The first officially licensed WRC rally game on a handheld, WRC provides the hi–octane thrills, pace and dynamics of rally across the globe to the gamer on the move.
“We are excited to bring one of the most popular rally racing franchises to the handheld market,” said Jeff Lujan, Business Director at NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc. “WRC offers the most exhilarating rally racing experience available for the PSP system.”

The only official game of the FIA World Rally Championship, WRC offers a complete WRC season over 5 continents and 16 countries with a vast array of wild terrains and surfaces including the streets of Japan and the hills of Mexico.

Based around the 2005 season, WRC for the PSP system features 30 official and fully deformable 2005 WRC, Evolution, and Extreme spec cars; from manufacturers such as Ford, Subaru and Mitsubishi as well as all of the 36 official WRC 2005 drivers and co-drivers. WRC also offers sixty-four point-to-point stages on gravel, tarmac and snow with 6 game modes encompassing single player, multi–player and Wireless Head-to-Head support.

this will be sweet i'm a big fan of realistic racing games, and since i've pretty much given up hope on gran turismo after being delayed multiple times, this is just as good in my opinion (based of ps2 games)

Here in Europe, World Rally Championship WRC has already been released (or are you talking about another game??).
It plays just great: Arcade-Rallye-game with nice graphics and cool sound, but loading times are a little long...



Game is not too easy, making faults costs you lots of time and unfortunatly, your opponenents are ghosts (no collisions)!
