Im definitely getting one on the first day!
Why? becuase SONY fan and SONY is an awesome company that rarely ever makes mistakes.
They have won the previos console war with the PS2 which is kinda suprising to me because PS2 graphics arent up to par and it still has two controller ports...plus it came out a year+ earlier than the othe two systems.

Now sony seems to have the upperhand in pretty much everything except online play but they will make it better than it was.

Well I wouldn't say Sony doesn't make mistakes hehe they make plenty but they do have a good track record. I'm also going to get one. Xbox 360 IS a Microsoft product. Sorry I don't want to give them more money in their pocket. THey should stick with OS's not gaming.

Im going to get it when it first comes out like i did with my ps2 and psp and all the others that arent as good like gamecube and xbox but im going to have to get some money first but it sould be worth it

Maybe not, i mean, people are now EXPECTING the price to be FAR from the like $900(NZD) mark, no clue what the price was in US around release time of 4th gen consoles (ps2/xbox/gcn). But yeah, theres generally an overall increase in gamers lately as playing playstation/computer is becomming "less geeky" though i still retain "the computer/tech guy" title, ehehe.

I started to save up for the ps3 since i heard about it so yeah im gettin it when it comes out! I hope it doesnt cost toooooooooooo much

i have 5 dollars that i just got.and i have to buy SOCOM 3 cuz thats a must if i dont buy that game u guys will see me on the news that i hung myself.i also have to get this CD thats comingout which will cost around 20 since im bot gonna download it.from that im getting a new computer in feb.my parents wont have any money so im going to have to wait to get one like in a year.shit sucks

I'll pick up a ps3, if the price is right, or if it has a must have game at launch, but right now i'm too into my psp to even care about next gen

i'll probably wait until next christmas when all of the new consoles are out, to decide which console to get, by then there should be a good selection of games and we'll have a general idea of how the consoles are doing, i don't want to be dreamcasted....

I think its too early to know if I will get it on release, not enough has been revealed (like price!)

At this point, the only thing I do know is that I will not be getting the Nintendo revolution, bar something truely great.

Once I saw that Nintendo On vid, I was ready to give all my money to Nindo. Too bad it was fake.

If the PS3 is going to cost as much as the game news sites are saying, I will really have to wait. I do not plan on spending 400 or higher on the ps3 right off the bat. Heck then you gotta look at games then retailing for 60 BUCKS AHHHH. Yes I will be waiting for a first price drop at least.

i'll pick one up frm ebay, but only if metal gear 4 is available on launch! No point gettin a ps3 if the games arent up to it eh? Killzone is one i'm lookin out for as well, coz the trailer just left me

You don't have to worry about Halo anymore judging by the footage of that Gears of War game.

Unless they do actually release Halo3 to coincide with the PS3 release, which might slow things down a bit. I don't think it'll matter though, anyone who has a PS2 and not an Xbox isn't going to be waiting for the Xbox, they'll be getting the PS3 instead I'd imagine. I'll be putting an Xbox360 on pre-order as soon as they'll let me, but the PS3 can wait until the price comes down.

Then I've just gotta find a use for a heavily modified original Xbox....

as 4 my opinion ill probably get the xbox360 b4 the ps3 simply due 2 the early release.

gettin 360 first, once ps3 comes out and i like the ps3 im gonna sell the 360. i dont want both because its a waste of money

I was planning to go for XboX 360, but seeing that Ps3 is better, I think it's worth the wait. (I'm not a specs nerd, I find the 'little' amount of real-time render demo's on ps3 a whole lot better then what you can see on XboX 360)

And @ the moment, there isn't really a single XboX 360 launch title I 'really really' want to pay € 400 for.

I'm one of those who will get it @ the launch First Time I'll ever buy a console @ the launch date.

But when will it released in Europe ?? Seeing that it took 8 months between Japan and Europe for the PSP to arrive....

I don't believe in the November 2006 date...

I'm going to resevere one later next week.

He was won of the lucky people who got some of the last 360's at best buy, he had to wait from 8 at night till 8 or 9 in the morning, in the freezing cold of NYC. Hes da super dad

I'll stick with the 360. I love what they've done with the xbox live marketplace, gamertags, chatting, built in Media Center Extender (This retails for $399.00 CDN on it's own) and the achievement points system

I'll also potentially get the revolution if it's going to be as cheap as they claim it might be.

why wont you get the ps3? You have no knowledge of its pure power? WHy you hatin up on sony?
The ps3 contains a cell processor, which about 7-9 cores each clocked at 3.2ghz.
VS.
The 360 with a 3.2ghz 3 core processor (I think dont flame me for that info)
The video cards are on par with each other, i think.
The 360 card is made by ati, nvidia makes the ps3.
The revolution seems promising, but they stated that it wont have the horsepower and graphics potential of either the 360 or ps3.

I cant wait to get one. Ill fight in line for one if i have to.

im a loyal sony fan but £400 seems a bit pricey, and im a little strapped for cash so i might just stick with a 360

Don't buy 360. Ps3 will be so much better. I'm campin out the night it comes out.

The only differences between the 2 consoles are
A) The xbox 360 will be using HD-DVD's less expensive than BLU-RAY
The PS3 will contain a single cell processor, a processor with 7-10 cores, each core will be clocked at 3.2 ghz. The 360 has a custom ibm 3core processor, each core clocked at 3.2ghz
C) The PS3 will potentially be extremely expensive, and not just the console itself, yet the blu-ray disk games.
D) Both have very similar video cards, other than the exception that one is made by ati and nvidia, while the nvidia might be faster than the ATI.
E) The PS3 might not have as many issues at launch as the 360, due to its later launch.

Who cares which is better, if you have the money, just buy both, along with the revolution. And its not like they are much different, the ps3 will probably just be faster. *AmwayCrew* The ps3 will not be so much better, You can look on wikipedia if you want.

First I'll get the PS3 and then with the little money I'll have left I want to by a revolution b/c nitendo always has some of the down right funnest games available

i'm talking about the european releases.....we didn't even get F1 on the release date...or the shitty world tour soccer for that matter, but they would have been better than coded arms for example. on release i got rivals....and even though i still play it when it was the only game i got it was very boring after 2 straight days of playing it

Lol, what an asshole, and a nerd at that. Within 15 minutes that the xbox 360 was out, people started having problems, dont talk crap about sony when microsoft had the same issues. Their always defects in things, but the way you say it is quite biased. From what I've heard the PS3 graphics are as good or better than the 360 and the PS3 has upgrades and connection with the psp and I have a psp so I'll get the PS3 and a HDTV for the graphics

reasons: next gen gaming, want to see the psp compatability, ps2 blows (nowadays anyways), for ps3 exclusive games...

it's way too expensive for me, need to get a job first before thinking about getting a PS3
