I just dled a new movie and put it in the appropriate folder, but when i play it the video is faster than normal, and the audio is out of sync. Any thoughts on why this happens?

Maybe it was formatted wrong and you downloaded it with the problem. Some times that happenes when your converting movies.

Mosty likely someone converted it incorrectly. I know that that has happeed to me a couple of times. Generally, people with the slower computers forget to exit background programs.

there is no way to correct this problem on the psp, it was encode incorrectly. If you have a 2.6 psp i heard it was more likely to happen because of software glitchs in the psp os

It's because the source of the file used a ghetto converter to make the movie. Tell them to use a better converter next time.
